History
Springridge was a school district which became the central meeting place for Mennonite immigrants from the Soviet Union who lived in that district as well as Standoff, Fort Macleod, Glenwood and Cowley areas. On July 20, 1928 the group organized under the name of Blumenthaler Mennonite Church. This was later changed to The Springridge Mennonite Church. An old hotel in Fort Macleod was bought for $300.00. During the winter of 1934 it was broken down and the lumber was then hauled to Springridge for the building of a church. The building was completed on the 20th of July.
